The New Wine New Wineskins Symposium is a gathering for early-career Catholic moral theologians who wish to share their work, build community, and serve the Church. Every year, an established scholar joins us on Thursday evening and Friday morning to discuss his or her vocation as a moral theologian and ongoing research. The rest of the symposium is devoted to paper presentations, common discussion, and fellowship among attendees.

The symposium is open to early-career Catholic moral theologians or early-career scholars doing work that engages the tradition of Catholic moral theology and who are:

Doctoral students in moral theology
Part-time faculty within 7 years of doctoral graduation
Pre-tenure full-time faculty
Independent scholars within 7 years of doctoral graduation
Scholarships are available for those who do not have sufficient institutional funding. Any attendee may be eligible for a scholarship, whether or not presenting a paper. To request, please email new.wineskins.ycmt@gmail.com.
